Butterscotch Spiral Coffee Cake: ABC

This months ABC challenge was this beautiful coffee cake.
The best part of this cake is the butterscotch topping...it makes the whole thing so deliciously yummy!  I doubled the butterscotch recipe after reading that others felt that it wasn't enough.  I'm glad I did!  The only disappointment I had was that I couldn't see the cinnamon swirls in through the cake.  The smell of yeast and cinnamon filled the house as it was baking....can't get much better that that!  I will make this again only I think I may add some nuts or try the apple butter that Flo suggested as an addition to the butter and cinnamon swirls.

Ooey Gooey Goodness!

  1. It's beautiful, Chelly. I'm with you on the cinnamon swirl. Will have to do something about that next time. Regardless, it was still really good! Glad you enjoyed it too.

While Seattle Pastry Girl is offline (hoping everything is okay with her), there's a temporary Facebook group to post our Baked Sunday Morning entries at http://on.fb.me/nKeKQd. Could you help spread the word?
